Cassandra “Cassie” Kendall
Owner and trainer of Kendall's Canines, Cassie builds balanced training plans around behavior, movement, handling, socialization, and the humans living with the dog.
Background
From animal husbandry to dog behavior and training.
For as long as she can remember, Cassie has been most comfortable around animals. She grew up drawn to horses, farm animals, and pets, started riding horses around age eight, and worked for horse barns and a rescue farm through high school.
After graduating from Hollis Brookline High School in 2015, Cassie eventually found her path in dogs through Village Sentry Pet Care. Working in a kennel and daycare setting gave her hands-on exposure to dogs of many breeds, backgrounds, temperaments, and social dynamics.
She spent roughly six years at Village Sentry, managing many parts of the business and launching training sessions during daycare hours. She also volunteered with Operation Delta Dog, which evaluates and trains rescue dogs for veterans.
Balanced approach
Training starts with the dog in front of her.
Cassie considers genetics, upbringing, nutrition, physical conformation, movement, social dynamics, behavior history, and the needs of the humans in the home. Her work often focuses on socialization and behavior issues, with attention to whether physical discomfort or imbalance may be part of the picture.
Her goal is for owners to learn how to teach, support, and understand their dogs, not just get through a single training session.

Reagan XS
Cassie's working dog and daily assistant.
Reagan, Cassie's German Shorthaired Pointer, helps socialize dogs who may be nervous or selective. She is often used as a neutral distraction for dogs working through mild to severe reactivity, recall, and e-collar familiarity.
Outside of work, Reagan and Cassie enjoy hiking, swimming, FastCAT, dog-friendly adventures, the White Mountains, family time, and showing with Cassie's horses.
